We had at least 4 waiters come to our table. In the middle of that, we asked for a glass of water and did not get that until we asked the third time. We ordered from both and was told to order from the dim sum menu first and then once we get that submitted, we can order on the house menu. We then got our drink order in two iced tea's and a pot of green tea with three tea cups-we have a party of 3. The decor was spacious and you can see a few larger tables with lazy susans.I love restaurants with lazy susans. We walked in and was greeted and seated pretty quickly. nice and courteous, but our experience left us with a bad taste in our mouth.and it wasn't from the food. The food that we got was great, however, the service needs A LOT more work. We really wanted to give it a better review. I know it just opened the beginning of August, but it did not pass in my book.

Service was great - cart drivers were very friendly and happy to explain what each variety of dim sum was made of, and also made recommendations. Will go back just for that (but also want to try other items on the menu). Absolutely delicious, not fatty, very tender. Stewed chicken feet were overly salty, as was the rice & meat steamed in a lotus leaf a slightly sweet egg custard in a pastry cub was a great way to end the meal.ĭespite all the goodness of the dim sum, the item that really stood out to me was a plate of sliced BBQ pork - wasn't on a cart, but was carried out by the nice lady that I'm guessing is the owner (?). BBQ Pork in a flaky french pastry was one of the best items. The shrimp hargau and shrimp/pork shumai were very good, pork short ribs were tasty, but swimming in oil. In the end, we tried 9 different items between the 3 of us. Almost immediately a cart came to our table, and we were off on our journey of discovery. Arrived early for Saturday lunch (dim sum carts roll Saturday and Sunday only, order off the menu other days/times), and were seated quickly. Was excited to try out this restaurant close to our house, especially after reading so many good reviews of the Dim Sum. I am still surprised how it is not as busy as the other dim sum restaurants. Overall, this is the best dim sum restaurant I have been to in the DFW (Kirin Court), Austin (Shanghai Restaurant), and San Antonio (Golden Wok) area. This dish just needed some chopped green onion as garnish on top. The rice noodle was the same as the shrimp cheung fun. Maybe it sat in the rice noodles a bit too long. You probably can't have just one.įried bread sticks in rice noodles 炸兩 - The fried bread stick was good, except that it wasn't as crunchy as expected. Steamed pork ribs - Pretty average, not bad.Ĭhickened feet - This is pretty standard like from other restaurants.įried shrimp ball - The crunch from the fried flour led the way to the shrimp ball which was well seasoned. The ingredients settled right inside the bao, not overcooked and over stuffed like Golden Wok's. The chicken and mushroom with the ginger tasted good and cooked right (not overcooked). Stuffed eggplant - The stuffing was tasty and got that impressive fried crunch texture on the first bite.Ĭhicken mushroom buns or bao - The bao part was right, not too dense and felt fluffy in a good way. The shrimp was in good size, but could use some seasoning. Shrimp in rice noodles aka shrimp cheung fun - the cheung fun was soft and got the right texture.

That left 1/3 of the space for actual dining area. 1/3 was used for storage of the tables and chairs. When I walked in, I was surprised that they only operated at 1/3 of their capacity. It was not as busy as the other dim sum restaurants I have been to in Texas. I arrived around 1245 on Sat and waited about 30 min.
